Mark your calendar because Google just announced dates for this year's I/O Developer Conference.

The Lewd Family [Uncut]annual conference will be held May 8-10 in Mountain View, Calif., where the company could announce the next version of Android, tentatively dubbed "P."

So what will Android P officially be named? Google's not saying yet, but a cryptic code teased by the company might have already revealed it.

Attendees interested in going to I/O 2018 will be able to buy a ticket starting on Feb. 22. But you'll want to move fast because the conference usually sells out pretty quickly.

As for what Android P will be called. Well, if history is any indication (and it probably is), Android P will come with its own dessert name.

The latest version of Android is called Android Oreo. So what about Android P?

Google's developer account on Twitter shared the below binary code, which then brought users to I/O's website, and then through an escape room-style Street View exploration.

And wouldn't you be know it, people found the below image of a pineapple cake. Now why would that be there?

Android P = pineapple cake? Maybe. But maybe not. Google's always been a little cute with teasing the names for new Android releases.

This picture doesn't confirm anything, but it's fun to speculate. We've got our own ideas:

  • Popsicle

  • Pie

  • Pudding

  • Pecan pie

What do you think Google should call Android P?
